Salem Paige (they/them) is a twenty-four-year-old transgender designer, writer, and poet whose works revolve around the exploration of identity and discomfort through narrative universes where Nature and technology intertwine. They were published in 2023 as a Canadian League of Poets’ Fresh Voice, and were previously shortlisted for the Bridport Poetry Prize and longlisted for the ROOM Poetry Prize. Their works have appeared in their collection, The Third Self (2023) and chapbook to grow roots (2023), as well as more than a dozen literary magazines and a handful of poetry anthologies.
Paige lives and works on Algonquin Anishinaabe territory (so-called Ottawa, Ontario), where they spend their time working as an arts administrator, napping excessively, binging reality tv, and annoying their partner and their two cats. You can find Paige on instagram as @corpseofapoet or their website.
